Sarah backs up, as if first pretending to retreat - but its just to the ropes, giving herself an extra momentum bounce. The point here isn't to be fancy - she's just showing off. She's in the top weight class, and they need to get to Peter and Ben - so she needs to demonstrate that she can hang with Ben Grimm, toe to toe. Starting by not holding back and going into head on collision with Gator.
