Sarah and Dani vs Ms. Marvel and Screaming Mimi
The test match was over and Sarah and Dani were scheduled for their next fight. Tonight they were going to face Ms. Marvel and Screaming Mimi. Winning that match was necessary to get a shot at Grimm and Parker.

They had a few hours of downtime which had been spent in posh dressing rooms.

Then it was time for the match.

Natasha led them out to the ring amidst boos and jeers. Natasha yelled at the crowd in Russian as they walked to the ring.

	Dane summons his shield as well, and circles to the opposite side of Lester to flank Armadillo. He'll attempt to hamstring the larger man as soon as he can, to make it harder for him to attack the others. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Trying to find a weak spot on the Armadillo is a trick - even his eyelids show signs of being armored. The procedure was, and remains incredibly painful, but Malus is also very thorough when given permission to create his own personal bodyguard.

Apparently not feeling overly threatened by a guy with a sword, he goes right for the armor, swinging a massive clawed hand at Natasha.

Oh this was going to hurt, Natasha thought as the clawed hand came in and connected. The armor absorbed some of the impact, but not all of it. Natasha's teeth jarred a bit. She did manage to hold her ground.

"Knock out gas," she ordered the armor. A small compartment in her left hand opened and gas started coming out. She put her hand right in Armadillo's face. Hopefully Dane and Lester were far enough back they wouldn't be affected too much.

Superhuman endurance is a bitch sometimes. the knockout gas clearly has an effect - he's slower, his eyes a little glazed, not as coordinated as before. But if Tasha expected human doses of gas to take him off his feet, she'll be surprised by a clawed haymaker coming at her.

Armadillo is a powerhouse - Dane's strength directed at the joint does unbalance him enough to take some of the power out of his swing.

Meanwhile, there's a dozen projectiles mostly sticking out of joints in the armor - not seeming to slow him much, if he even notices. The thirteenth, however, finally does draw blood, a knife stuck shallowly into the joint of his neck and shoulder.

	Tasha took the second hit and her armor's power systems started flickering. Not good! The blow sent her backward and thankfully she didn't have far to go until she hit the wall. She used the wall to push off and lunge toward him. Hands were up and she opened fire with repulsors. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Seeing Tasha get hit infuriates Dane, but seeing that Lester's attacks are having an effect makes him feel good. Lifting his blade again, Dane leaps onto Armadillo's shoulders and attempts to slash the area where Lester's knife drew blood to open it more and give his teammate a larger area to attack. The small wound slowly becomes a larger one as Lester's pinpoint accuracy and Dane's assault combine. Its still slow going, somewhere between stopping a tank with knives and optimism, and Wesley vs. Fezzik, but it, the dulled senses from the knockout gas, and now the repuslors finally halts his forward momentum. He staggers a step, swinging at the blurry Tasha in front of him with one hand, not as hard as before, while trying futilely to get a hand on Dane. He doesn't exactly have a lot of flexibility, it seems.

	With Armadillo slowed a little, Natasha managed to avoid the punch and countered with one of her own. The power systems were still flickering, but they hadn't gone out yet. The dents in the armor weren't pretty, but they could be fixed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Armadillo staggers. The punch connects, and now the would is opened up enough to be bleeding openly. The knockout gas is also still clearly working through him.
The room shakes when he falls to one knee.

"Can't, can't fail." he murmurs. "My Rosa... needs me." he can be heard to say by those close enough.

Shaking his head violently, he lunges forward again, no finesse to it, just trying to plow over Tasha and smash her into the wall, even if he's seeing three of her now.

	Armadillo staggers again with the new faceful of gas, going to one knee. "Can't." he murmurs, trying to find some clarity. "Malus... curing her. This is his payment. Turned me into... this." He tries rising again, but staggers as soon as he swings at the wrong Natasha, unsteady on his feet between gassing and blood loss. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
