Lucy was having a moment. On the one hand, she really liked Mason. Like, a lot. She'd agreed to be his girlfriend and she didn't really do things like that very easily. She didn't trust her father and her mother's faith in him disturbed her. Especially when he'd obviously shagged Pansy Parkinson in some kind of trade off for Draco's safety, because Draco was still in the house even after shagging a porn star professor.

So on the one hand, Mason was cool and she liked him a lot. On the other hand, she'd googled him to find pictures of him and his band and had found his Instagram instead. And all the pictures of Mason and his ex-girlfriend who had not been an ex for nearly as long as Lucy had been led to believe and now Lucy got to feel like the shitty rebound girl because actually she and the ex had a lot in common, look-wise. This was why she didn't do boyfriends. Lucy sat in a pub, waiting for Mason, who was just home from his tour. She should have discussed whether or not to bring up the ex-girlfriend with Neville before she came out. He'd know what to do.

"Of course I'm asking you out on a date." Mason told her with a snort. "And I don't think that I'd be a very good boyfriend if I fucked up your homework. So maybe I'll have to help you with that before we go out or something. I'm actually smart."

He gave her a grin. "I think we should hear a live band play. Who is playing tomorrow?" He asked as he searched through his phone. "Do you like Slutpup?"

	Mason smiled at that and pulled Lucy into his lap, so that she was straddling his hips. He kissed her softly on the lips, then down her jaw, holding her tight to his chest. 	Lucy laughed when Mason pulled her into his lap, kissing him back. She shook her head a little. "Nobody's hair is this blonde naturally. Except my brother, and even he only gets this blond in the summer." She kissed Mason again. "I am a blonde though. Just not quite this blonde. It's nice though, don't you think? I like it." 	"I love it." Mason nodded as he played with her hair and smiled. "I wouldn't look good with that colour hair. I think I'm pretty much only a brown kind of bloke. You know?" "Do you have Alice in Wonderland, Hatter?" Lucy asked, raising an eyebrow at Mason. "I put this on because it was what was on telly when I flipped through. Alice in Wonderland would be a better choice."

She leaned back a little, picturing Mason with blond hair. "You'd look like a zombie if your hair was my colour. You'd be all washed out. I like you as a brunette."

"It's not a hookup if you're dating." Mason pointed out as he looked back at her. He rested a hand on her thigh, then kissed down her neck, making a soft, content sound in his throat. He loved the way she smelled.

"I'm taking things slow with us. So, I don't want to do that yet." Mason admitted, letting his fingers brush against her thighs. "I can use my mouth if you want."

Lucy did find the idea of Mason's mouth on her appealing, but maybe slow was good too. Less reboundy. She kissed him again and then shook his head. "No, I like the idea of going slow," she said. "Besides, our food should be here soon."

Lucy leaned in and pecked Mason on the lips, then looked at Alice chasing the rabbit. "I loved this movie when I was a kid. My mum would sit me down in front of it all the time."

"My Dad made me watch Bill Nye the Science Guy." Mason admitted as he watched the cartoon. "He said that watching cartoons would be bad for my brain. It's why I watch so many now. I was deprived as a child."

He moved her out of his lap when the food arrived, going to do the door to pay for it. He put it down in front of her to eat, then sat down beside her. "I also watched a lot of Star Wars as a kid, but only because my dad felt it was at least educational in a sense."

Lucy wrinkled her nose at Mason. "You're awful," she told him. "Princess Tutu is the worst nickname I've ever gotten. But I can handle it." She laughed. "There are a lot worse things I could be called. Like Yoko."

She ate a dumpling. "I'll have to write a song about you too. Call it Mad Hatter. You know, I've met princesses. They're not all they're cracked up to be."

"I'm kind of a bitch," Lucy told Mason, holding a dumpling out to him. "But I like you a lot so I'm okay with you seeing past that. I don't mind at all when a boy I really fancy sees the best in me."

She smiled at Mason, leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I'm glad you're back from your tour. We'll be able to really get to know each other. You can decide whether or not I'm a bitch after we've been on more dates."
