Several hours later, Jack opened his door and knew Kal was inside before he closed it behind him quietly. With the apartment silent and a little chilly, he realized she must be resting.
He peeked into the bedroom before attending to other business - turning up the heat and putting the kettle on for something hot to drink while things warmed up. There were assignments to complete that would keep him busy until she woke up.
