He offers her a small but friendly smile. With just the magic she had been using to light the room he was cast mostly in shadows up with his paler features it was easy to see him.
"I'm Daniel Sherwood," he offers. "It's good to meet you."
He glances at the books then offers her a small look. "I use universal magic. My methods might not work the same as yours but if you're looking at protections I can help you study, if you'd like. I don't know many other practitioners."
