Vernique notices the grammatical problem, but manages to refrain from correcting it, as that Is Not Done in casual conversation. It's only grammar, after all. Not like it's shoes or something.
"I have to admit, at the risk of mixing metaphors, that anything tinier than a half-centimeter object is completely Over My Head. Dad's in Berthyoneaux. Mom's fine, let me go to a Nevell meeting for her recently now that my school workload's so light. I'm back to doing a little Avenging."
She smiles to Halbjorn. "How are your sisters?"
