You Can't Outthink Love
Vincent had let Andrea know to dress up however nicely she chose, as he had special plans for them for Valentine's Day. He'd been dropping various hints about what he had in mind, but they were all seemingly unrelated items.

Unable to forgo the classics however, he tapped at Andrea's door, appreciating once again that she was in the room adjacent to his own, with a miniature potted rosebush (cutting flowers just for the sake of sticking them in a vase always seemed wasteful), and a box of her favorite chocolates.

Andrea is reasonably certain that her taste sensors are about as good as they are going to get, and she is certainly enjoying their meal.

"A penny for your thoughts?" she asked.

Vincent smirks. "Sorry, my thoughts are more expensive than that."

He chuckles, then waves a hand dismissively. "Just... you, honestly."

"You are much too kind, Vincent," Andrea told him. "I do not deserve you."

He shakes his head. "You absolutely do. You've made me a... well, if not 'better' person, at least easier for some others to deal with."

She giggled at that. "You were always a good person, Vincent. Do not ever doubt that."

"Well I know that." He rolls his eyes. "I know I was never a bad guy, but... well, I like to think my relationship with you has made me more sensitive to others. I hope there's something you feel you've gotten from our time as well, besides the more direct benefits." He smirks coyly.

"I believe it has," she told him. "I have certainly furthered my understanding of humans and emotions much since we began our relationship."

"I'm glad I've been able to help you then." He traces a finger along the rim of his glass. "I know I must have been... well, difficult to deal with, for you, before we both had sense talked into us by Kristoff regarding our mutual attraction."

"There were... some frustrating moments, I admit," Andrea confessed. "Though I found more of the fault with myself. I was certain there was a glitch in my programming."

Vincent smiles.

"The ability to be faulty is another part of the human condition, my dear."

The mention of glitches does remind him of something else.

"Has HERBIE behaved unusually around you lately?"

"I suppose it is at that," Andrea mused.

She shook her head. "I do not think so. He does often seem to wish to spend time assisting me, but that is within his operational parameters."

Vincent mulled over that. "Lately... he's become threatening of me, in regards to you. It's obviously nothing I can't handle, but I find it odd. At first I assumed it was Valeria or Franklin tampering with his programming, but I'm not so certain now."

"Really?" Andrea asked. "I would not have thought him capable of such behaviors."

"Hence my assumption that Franklin or Valeria was responsible, but it doesn't seem like Valeria's style, and Franklin... well, he likely isn't smart enough." Vincent replies, shrugging.

"Just something to be aware of I suppose. Let me know if he functions erratically towards you."

"I will," Andrea replied. "Speaking of family things, did I mention that my father told me he was seeing someone?"

"Fortunately not," Andrea replied. "No, he is seeing SHIELD Agent Cheesecake."

He blinks at that, pausing to try to call to mind who that is.

Oh... oh yes.

"...I see. Well... good for your father then."

Vincent nods, extending a foot to play with her a bit under the table. "As do I; not as much as I wish us however, I'm not ashamed to admit." He grins playfully.

Andrea's own grin was equally playful. "I believe I concur with your statement," she replied.
