It is... It isnt... Is this a date?

Addy didn’t know what to wear, she and Ryan had a…. non date/ date. She had no idea how to dress for it. Holding up a skirt and blouse to her body she looked at her reflection. “Hmmm.” And she turned to her giant dog that was lying on her bed. “What do you think Mouse?” she asked him, but did not get anything from the dog. He just lay out on the bed looking at her. “It’s that boring?” she looked back at her reflection and put the garments back into the closet. She finally put on a nice pair of dark wash jeans and a silky blue one shoulder, flowy top and turned to mouse. “And?” she asked and the large dog lifted his head off the bed. “Good.” She said and put on a little bit of makeup. She had about ten minuets before Ryan was supposed to arrive so she and mouse went into the kitchen for his dinner.

"You never nitpick." She said with a smile. The wind was blowing her hair forward making her look silly, and she just laughed. "So...."

“I do but movies are more fun when I don’t,” says Ryan returning Addy’s smile, “It’s a lot of fun to make fun of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.”

Look at Addy with the wind blowing her hair said in return to hers, “So …”

"I love Jurassic Park. I wanted to grow up to be a pterodactyl." she giggled and covered her face with her gloved hands. "I can'e believe I just told you that." she mumbled into her leather clad hands.

“Don’t worry your secret’s safe with me,” says Ryan his hands in his jacket pockets to keep them warm, “Personally I wanted to be an Ankylosaurus and if you want I know a few Paleontologist I could introduce you too.”

“Those were the best dreams though weren’t they,” says Ryan as they wait for the crossing light to say walk, “I still do guess that why I’m so good with kids.”

"I love kids. Life is so simple for them." Addy said as her thoughts drifted to her gymnastics classes. "I teach seven year olds how do do gymnastics. They are so sweet."

“I volunteer down at the museum giving tour to the kids it’s a lot of fun,” says Ryan, “Sometimes they ask the greatest questions. Gymnastics are fun too; mom had me do some to get more flexible.”

The crossing light turned to walk so Ryan and Addy could cross the street

Crossing the street Addy continued the conversation. "My reasons for athletics was to get out of my dad way while he ....." Addy didn't know how Ryan would react to her dad, so she quickly went to "What questions do they ask?"

Ryan noticed the hesitation is Addy’s voice when she mentioned her Dad. He wasn’t going to pry she would tell him about her father when she was ready.

“Well one time, this little girl asked me if the animals really come to life at night in the museum like in the movie. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that they don’t.”

Addy was happy that Ryan hadnt asked about her dad. "You mean they dont come to life?" she asked in fake horror and bringing her hand to her chest. "My life is ruined now that I know the truth." Trying to keep up the act she burst into giggles.

“No only the butterflies,” says Ryan playing off of Addy’s feinted horror.

Now it was Ryan’s turn for a
question, “So what’s it like to teach seven year olds how to do gymnastics.”

"It's fun. So much work keeping them all focused, but really fun." Addy said with a smile. "When they finaly do a trick right, and the joy on their faces. I love it."

“That sounds like a fun rewarding job,” says Ryan with a smile. They were only a block from the theater now so Ryan refrained from asked about if that’s what she wanted to do with her life, be a teacher but they would have time to talk about that over dinner later. “Looks like we’re almost there.”

Feeling childish Addy giggledd and took off running to the next crosswalk. She wanted a heated theater and hot chocolate, and just to get away from the cold. She didn't know why but she felt she could be free around Ryan. It was a feeling she wasn't used to, but she liked having a friend.

Ryan saw Addy take off towards the theater and then took off after her. It was going to be nice to get into the warm theater after being out in the cold so long. Once they got closer to the theater Ryan ran ahead of Addy to get the door for her.

"Yet I had the head start." she said laughing and out of breath. Smiling at Ryan she went through the doorway and waited for him to follow. "Warmth!" she sighed happily.
