Sydney needed to decompress, badly, and she went looking for a cask of Asgardian mead that she knew had to be around here somewhere. She doubted the Asgardians had time to finish all of it before they left for wherever it was they disappeared to. Her guess was Asgard because there hadn't been any reports of chaos erupting anywhere on Earth for an unknown reason. Or reports of a viking invasion for that matter.

Her quest ended when she found a cask tucked away in the Butler's Pantry. Too heavy to carry, Syd popped the cask open and filled a pitcher. She grabbed a glass and headed down to the beach. She found a comfy rock, grabbed a seat and poured away.

It had been a trying few weeks to say the least. Grace showed up. Syd liked the girl and in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't a bad thing. Zoey adored Grace, but the again there wasn't a person Zoey didn't like.

Avery was the big issue in her mind and the weight on her shoulders. He'd be back in LA soon and he wanted to spend some time with Zoey. Syd had spent a lot of time talking to her lawyers, just in case. She wasn't sure what his motives were, but she had to be prepared. For anything.

With a million thoughts going through her head, she drank mead while she watched the waves crashing on the shore.
