Enjoying the outdoors (open)
Svalin was outside brushing Tryggvi who happily grazed on the grass around the mansion. Master Jarvis had been most helpful in providing Svalin with hay and oats for Tryggvi and brushes to take care of his coat. The day was warm, the sun was bright and it was nice to be outside the building. The air was thick with pollutants and Svalin did notice.

Svalin had never been one to sit indoors much.

Tryggvi side-stepped and nudged Svalin. She pushed back and he pawed the ground. "Stop that," she said. He too was not used to being inactive.

Svalin put a calming hand on Tryggvi. The horse was accustomed to the chaos and sounds of battle, but the strange things on Migard terrified him at time. He would get used to them, of that she had no doubt, but it would take time.

"Well met," she said to the armored figure. Her other hand was on the hilt of her sword.

The face plate slid away to reveal his identity. "I hope I'm not late."

The slightest smile appeared on her face. "Nay, thou art not late."

He paused, putting the bag down on the ground by his feet, and removed the helmet. He definitely wanted Tryggvi to recognize him because an animal would be harder to reason with.

"I brought carrots and sugar as suggested," he said as he picked up the bag and walked toward them.

Tryggvi did calm down a bit, but he did paw at the ground with a hoof.

"Thou art most kind."

He took a carrot from the bag and offered it to the horse. "Hopefully it'll work. He won't be able to go and there should be a treat involved."

"Thou art spoiling him," she said. Tryggvi eagerly ate the carrot and looked for more as soon as he was done.

Misha laughed and gave the horse another carrot. "I learned about spoiling from an expert in the practice. A little spoiling goes a long way."

"Aye. It doest." Grandfather had been known on occasion to spoil the four of them and get them to do what he wanted.

Mom was the spoiler. Dad provided discipline. It seemed to work. He was a reasonably adjusted guy.

"Are you about ready?" This time he offered sugar cubes to Tryggvi. "The flight won't take long. You should be warm enough."

"Aye. Thou doest not have to worry about the cold. I art an Asgardian. We art used to the cold."

"You'll get the rest when we get back," he told the horse as he set the bag aside. The helmet went on with the face plate open. Considering Svalin's greater height, it was good the suit let him handle a lot of weight without it affecting his balance.

"You might want to put your foot on mine so you don't feel like you're dangling," he suggested, using past experience with taking a second person along for the ride.

"I art not afraid of falling," she said and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm not going to let you fall." She wasn't shy about hanging on, which was a good thing in his book. He would continue being very respectful, but there had to be an option of grasping hard if necessary.

The face plate slid closed and the internal screen displayed the fact that he was 425 pounds heavier. She didn't didn't look it, but it didn't surprise him. He put his arm around her waist and held her as close to his side as he could. The boosters fired and he slowly lifted into the air to get a sense of the weight distribution before applying a little more speed.

Like almost everything in her life, Svalin stoically dealt with the situation. She wasn't afraid of heights or falling, but this was a new experience. If she had to admit it, it was a little exhilarating.

Not a peep out of his guest. Usually by now, the few people he'd taken for a flight might've squealed a little, or oooh'd and ahhh'd. He put on a little more speed as they flew straight up over the Avengers mansion.

Once at a suitable distance from the ground, he flew them toward the harbor and Liberty Island.

"The view ist most impressive," she finally said. Asgard was an impressive city in itself, but it had nothing on New York. Especially from the air at night.

The New York skyline at night always looked like handfuls of sparkling gems tossed out on a background of black velvet, until you flew too high and realized you were in a layer of smog. Misha made sure he didn't fly too high so the effect remained impressive. He wanted the city to impress their visitor.

"Glad you like it."

"Aye, I do," she said. "Asgard ist nothing like New York or other Migard cities. Whilst it ist is impressive, it ist not the same." Though New York and Migard was exciting and there was a lot to see, a part of her missed home. She missed her family and her Valkyrie sisters.

"If it was the same, there would be nothing new to see and talk about when you go home again."

He brought them to the top of the statue's crown, finding his footing on a level enough place they could sit and enjoy the view across the harbor. "Be careful," he caution as he loosened his hold on her waist.

Misha didn't remove the helmet. One wrong gesture and it would fall off the statue and he'd never hear the end of it from Anya. The face plate moved aside so he could see the lights without the sensors analyzing them for display.

"My pleasure. I don't get to share this with too many people."

She titled her head in thought. "Why not? This seemeth like something that many wouldst enjoy." Svalin was really clueless when it came to dating a special relationships. She had other things on her mind.

"Many would," he agreed. "My identity is still protected, though. If it got out that I'm a mutant and a member of the X-Men, that wouldn't be good. We're not public like the Avengers. I don't get to ask normal girls if they want to see the view from here, or go on a flight, or even join me in the training room for combat practice."
