Mayhem...and a little dinner.
Joey and Rose arrived at the sushi restaurant, and he let Rose take the lead since this were her territory and all. They spent most of the taxi ride talking about small things and laughing at each other's jokes. He was still pretty new to the Big Apple, so he asked questions about the different places they passed on the way.

Walking inside, Joey finds himself drawn to the quiet, private atmosphere of the restaurant, and wishes more eateries were like this. It's not Xavier's, but it's cool in its own way, and having Rose as company makes it perfect.

The pair are seated and provided menus and get set up with their drinks. Joey looks over the menu and realizes that he doesn't know what half the stuff on it is, so he learns in to whisper to Rose.

"Okay, what's good here?" he asks.

It's pretty clear at this moment that he's the speaker of the group.

"Now, let's be civil, miss.My name is Goregeous George." he says, as if the meaning of his moniker is self-explanatory. "Maybe there's no need for your male companion to die in a truly gruesome and horrible fashion. Our employer would love for you to help him with a small endeavor of his. If you come with us right now, no one has to die. You'll be treated well, and kept in reasonably safe condition.

On the other hand..." he says, taking a cig from his pocket and lighting it up.

"...if you don't, I'll be forced to kill the young man, and tell my friend to murder everyone inside the restaurant. How many people were in there, would you say?" he asks Rose.

	"Got a heckuva way of tryin' to get my attention," Rose snapped. she kept her claws out, and even her confidence didn't change. "Let 'em go. I'll go with you," she said. Getting her and keeping her were too entirely different things, after all. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Joey pulled himself off the ground and to a standing position as he heard what this Gorgeous George clown wanted to do Rose. He could hear Rose agreeing to go with them, he shook his head in irritation as much as he was shaking it to clear the cobwebs.

"Rose...don't go with 'em. They're gonna kill everyone whether you go or not, babe. Don't go with 'em." Joey says, trying to keep from breathing too deeply right now. The twinge in his side told him it was a broken rib, maybe two.

He looked back and didn't see Foxx behind them. Where was she?

	"Miss, it would be a very good idea for your boyfriend not to try anything just now. It would have dire consequences for everyone inside." he says. At that moment, Rose would hear a very loud thump from inside the building, much like the sound of a body hitting the floor and screaming. George just smiles. "Shall we?" he asks Rose. A moment later, Slab comes around the corner to stand behind Vertigo, munching on an eggroll and smiling as he looks straight at Rose, then Joey. His shirt is covered in blood, but he doesn't seem to care. He pounds on the wall next to him three times, and his eyes cut to Ruckus, then Rose. He smiles.

He pounds on the wall beside him again, three times. Slab looks at Bloodhound, smirks at Joey, nods.

Finally, Slab looks down at the top of Vertigo's head, nods and pounds on the wall three times.

	George rolls his eyes, but doesn't look at Slab. "Will you stop with that? It's annoying." he says. Slab just shrugs. (Reply to this)(Parent)
