Parting Ways
They were gathered at the gates to the city at the foot of the newly repaired Bifrost Bridge. Tryggvi stood behind Svalin and pawed at the ground with a hoof. "Stop that," she said to her mount. He responded by headbutting her arm. Svalin new he was eager to go. He was always like this before a trip.

Svalin was not so eager to go. This would be the last time she saw her siblings for awhile. They would return to the Defenders and she would be going to the Avengers. Father's idea and Svalin had thought it a good one, but it didn't mean it would make this any easier.

She stood a little distance away from her siblings and waited for her chance to say goodbye to them and her parents. Father and the Mothers were saying their goodbyes to the other three.

Hrimhari, Lady Rahne, Moira and Danielle were a little ways off saying their goodbyes to each other.

Amorason stood off to one side.

Vincent's unease at returning to Midgard was obvious, but nothing would stop him either. Whatever the consequences of the decisions he had made, he would return to his family there.

He also seemed to be constantly checking over his shoulder as preparations for the departure continued, as if looking for someone.

After giving the wolf pack a polite amount of time to themselves, Vincent worked his way over to the Lord and Lady, greeting them cordially before dispensing with formality and hugging Lady Rahne.

Rahne manages to look away from fussing over her daughters and soon hug back. "Och. You have a safe trip back home, Vincent. Be careful."

Vincent nods and smiles to her. "Of course, Lady Rahne. It has been my honor to stand by homeland in this time, but.. I am glad to be going home."

He looks at her and her daughters. "And, not that they need my strength of arms or spells, should they ever need it, your daughters can call on me to their aid in your absence." He smiles, perhaps a bit smugly.

All the female Wolves present smile a little. "We'll keep that in mind," Moira says cheerfully in an I-could-just-ruffle-your-hair sort of way. And with a few more hugs and nuzzles goodbye, and some called farewells to their west coast cousins, it's time for everyone to start walking.
Moira and Danielle, for the record, will make sure they are standing somewhere in between Vincent and Svalin. Not because they actually think they'll start antagonizing each other in the process of getting home, but because it shouldn't hurt to leave an obstacle to their speaking.

Vincent smiles warmly to the pack and bids them well.

He then moves to accompany the others, noticing with appreciation the buffer that Moira and Danielle place themselves as. He bids Asleif a warm farewell also, extending his arms for a hug.

He just still wishes he could shake some lingering unease, separate from that of preparing to speak with his family.

The hug is brief and perhaps a bit stiff, but she allowed it.

"Fare thee well, Vincent. Until our paths doth cross again."
