Powerless
This takes place roughly around the same time as the Avengers are rescuing Daniel.

Toni desperately needed someone to talk too, having just come from a check-up at the Xaiver Institute with Doctor McCoy. Fortunately, of course, there was always Anya. Who was in her lab.

Not that Toni was surprised. It was where her workaholic best friend always was, when there wasn't something else to be doing. She pressed the buzzer.

"You in there, girl?"

	"Where else would I be?" she asked without turning around. The door clicked as the lock disengaged. "What's up?" she asked as she spun around on the stool. Anya did a quick mental check. Had she lost track of time again and had been in here too long? (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Anya knew the difference between a social call and a "I need a serious talk" visits. The suit she was working on was forgotten and she slid off the stool and hugged her best friend. Trust a Stark to assume a suit of armor solved everything.

"I'm glad you're here," she told Anya. "But I'm not even sure how good I'd be now. Even when they interfered, my powers were one of the reasons I could even work a suit. Mechanical intuition, remember? That's gone too."

"Used to be I could understand machines like that," she said with a snap of her fingers. "Now, nothing."

There was, if either were paying attention, a small electric spark between her fingers when she snapped.
