Heading Home
They could have swam it, but Canada (and Alberta in particular), was quite the distance away from Atlantis.  And frankly, what was the point of being a Princess if you couldn't ride in style every now and then?  So the daughters of Namor were being taken home (or to the shore, at least), in an Atlantean Royal transport.

It was luxurious, if slightly military, but comfortable to say the least.  Marrina sat on one of the couches, idly munching on candied sea urchins.  Her father had introduced them to her on one of her last visits.

Her sister.  She was bringing a sister home.  There were probably going to be all kinds of diplomatic issues involved (especially once Emma Frost found out), but she would do everything she could to keep her sister safe.

"So..." she ventured.  "You told me a little about you.  Only fair if I talk too.  Anything in particular you want to know?"

"I'm pretty excited. Think I can have pancakes there? I kinda want maple syrup. Oooh, and mittens."

"I'm positive you can have pancakes," she assured her sister.

"We'll have a whole shopping trip once we get you settled in," she promised.

Kassia quieted.

"I'm not sure I can afford to go shopping. My ties to my mother are severed at Dad's request. Perhaps I should go and carry your bags? Nothing sucks more than having to carry bags."

"Don't worry about it," Marrina said. "Namor, after he found out about me, made very sure I wasn't going to want for anything. I haven't even touched the money, not really. Least I can do is use some of it to make sure my sister's taken care of."

"It is still your money. I will send a message to Dad, asking if I can borrow a bit perhaps. I do not want you spending your money on me."

"I don't mind, really," she assured her.

"It still is not right. That is your money. Not mine."

Marrina decided to let the issue drop. "All right," she said.

She went on. "Oh! This is... probably kinda awkward, but... How long can you be out of water for?"

"Um. I don't actually know. I've always spent at least an hour in the bathtub every day. I've loved baths since forever. I...wonder if I should test and see how long I can go? I don't think it being saltwater matters."

"Probably a good idea," Marrina replied. "I can go about twelve, but I'd be a mess by the end of it. I try not to go more than eight or so."

She blushed a little. "I actually sleep submerged."

"Hm. Maybe I should test it. It would be good to know. How do you sleep submerged?"

"It's..." Marrina considered how best to explain it. "It's kind of a long, padded clear box filled with water, basically. And hooked up to a filtration/oxygen recycling system."
