Chris doesn't respond in any language Melinda's likely to understand. Something about this place is forcing her human mind to recede faster than normal. It might also be some after-effect of what Apocalypse did.
She transforms to full size, bracing herself against what she expects to be hard trees, but they bend back easily. She digs her claws into the ground and roars back.
