"That's the problem. We're each good at being ourselves, but we're not good at being us. Though I would say we're trying to do better this time around."
She pulled back just enough to look at him. A small smile appeared on her face. He was always a handsome man, but the touches of gray on his temples made him more handsome. He was one of those men who got better with age and she was a lucky woman to have him.
"I want you to know that I don't miss the vodka. All the reasons for giving it up were the right ones."
