Try as he might, Eli's eyes still haven't left Vernique. When Kalypso introduces them, Eli pauses to test her name on his tongue.
"Vernique. Vernique. Vernique." he says slowly and methodically in his Russian accent. When he's done this, he smiles again at her.
"I believe I could say your name all day and not tire of doing so, Vernique." Eli says.
