Oh, what fools these mortals be!
Asleif, frankly, had had more than enough of being cooped up at the Avengers Mansion with not only her siblings, but that ridiculous red-haired mortal girl and the rest of the so-called "Young Avengers."   And while they were not technically supposed to venture forth, when had she ever let that stop her before?

So, first using a simple spell to teleport herself outside, and then a second to adopt proper mortal guise (at least to the eyes of any weak-willed mortal), she had set about into the city.

Strange city, truly.  Fascinating, in its own way.  Very unlike the Golden Realm.  Here, there were wretched lost souls amidst spires of glory and audacity.  Contradictions everywhere she looked.

At a mortal shop, a mortal had asked if he could buy her something called "coffee."  She had accepted, largely out of curiosity.  He had been rather upset when she had walked away after excepting the drink, but a fiery gaze had sent him fleeing in the other direction, terrors conjured up in his mind enough to dispel any further conversation.

And so she sat and sipped, dipping briefly into mortal minds  to scan their thoughts.  Truly strange creatures.

"I thank you for your kindness." The eyebrows jumped slightly, with his usual lady-killer smile and gaze. "By word now, and by whatever manner thou wouldst later allow as well." He couldn't help but slip into a bit of the old world Asgardian accent.

Vincent blinked at the mention of siblings, plural. No way to be discrete about that one, so he played it honestly.

"Siblings? I was not aware Lord Thor had children; as I was... a somewhat reclusive child, and removed from Asgard so young." He smiled. "Would the lady care for a guide?"

"Aye," Asleif replied. "A brother, Halbjorn, and three younger siblings who remained in Asgard by mine blood mother, Einmyria, and two half-sisters, Svalin and Ardis by mine other mother, Sif."

She nodded. "The lady wouldst be most pleased to accept."

"Your family is robust. I have no siblings to call my own blood, so far as I know." Vincent avoided denying Kristoff, he owed him that much.

He smiled as she accepted the offer. "What pleases thine interests? Music? Food? Performance? There is little that cannot be had in this city."

She waved a hand dismissively. "Mine siblings art... not much like mineself. They art much more interested in adventures and victories than I art."

"Performances?" she asked. "What mean you by this?"

"Music, acting, comedy... although the last may be a bit too enmeshed to Midgard's affairs for you to garner the full experience.." Vincent thought further.

"We have many museums, parks kept with beasts from all across the world, galleries of art and rarities..."

Asleif considered the offer. "Very well," she said. "I doth believe that a museum may prove... most enlightening. If I am to walk amongst mortals, it wouldst be important to learn that which I can about them."

Vincent smirked contentedly to himself. "As the lady wishes. 'The Met' is a popular venue, showcasing art from around the world. It may give you some insight into the diversity of Midgard's peoples." He offered her his hand again.

She took his hand. "That sounds like a pleasant way to spend the day. And as for the night, that yet remains filled with possibilities."
