"Hmm." It was a nice, noncommittal noise, one that would buy her a few seconds of introspection.
"I think it's good idea, in theory," she said. "And it's probably something that should be done more. Too many loose ends out there.
"But it's also a good way to maybe get stabbed in the back and..."
She paused. Honesty. Cards on the table. "And I'm tired of everything changing all the time."
