Eli notes that Svalin has left him alone with Vernique, and Eli finds himself extremely nervous at that prospect. He enjoys Vernique's company, but Eli has never really conversed with a woman outside of his cousin, Kalypso, or his mother.
Many of the others did not often pay attention to him, back home.
"I think someday, you will find a prince who is willing to meet your requirements for a...long-term relationship." Eli smiles.
He does blush somewhat when she compliments his applications of his powers.
"Thank you, Vernique. Were it only that my father thought the same. He considers me something of a joke in a battle, though he never says exactly that. I simply work with what I have. But I cannot abide someone who denies the dead their peace or uses the living as slaves.
Thulsa Doom is only fortunate that he escaped before Conan was able to finish what we started." Eli says.
"I noticed your ability to shrink earlier. That must be very useful in many situations." Eli says.
