They had settled in at the restaurant and Syd waited until after they had ordered to pull a small wrapped gift out of her purse.

"For you from Zoey and me," she said as she offered the gift. Inside was a silver charm bracelet. On the bracelet was a charm for each of the Defenders. A sword for Svalin. An arrow for Aridis. A spider for Ohu. A bear for Halbjorn. A wizard's hat for Asleif (Hey it was hard finding magical symbol charms). A wand for Marlow. A wrench for Griffen. Each charm held a spell on it for a one time use. Each charm when activated would imbue Grace with the power of that person for an hour.
