Syd excused herself from the table to head to the restroom. She needed a few moments to compose herself and get her head back on straight. Avery got Zoey duty for a few minutes.
In the restroom Syd ran a paper towel under cold water and wiped her face with it.
She swore quietly in a few different languages.
