Getting settled
Eliza woke up from a restless sleep early. Trying to sleep for long didn't really help her. When she woke up she was panicked until her feet were on the floor. Things were not settling in like they had yesterday. At first she was very upset letting the tears gather and fall. She wanted to be home with her parents and not on this counter Earth.

She calmed down after she went to the bathroom and washed her face off. She eventually made her way into the kitchen to get coffee. She was sure she had more coffee than hemoglobin at home. She winced at how bright it seemed this morning and fished out some sunglasses and let her chin rest on the counter as she mulled over what was going to happen.

It still seemed like too much. She'd find a way to deal with it though.

Anya had fallen asleep with her head on the table in the lab and this morning she was definitely feeling it. If it hadn't been for one pain in the ass AI, who blasted heavy metal at 130dB (the point of pain), she probably would have overslept and would have been late for school. As it was, she fell out of the chair and was instantly awake. Cursing at her own creation, she left the lab and staggered up to the kitchen.

She wasn't surprised to find someone already in there and chugging down coffee. The weirdness that she now had a sister slowly crept back into her sleep addled brain. As neurons slowly started firing, last night came back to her. Coming home from work to find another new family member. A sister this time and another dimensionally challenged one at that.

A Murdock kid on top of it. Funny how the kids showing up were Mom's and not Dad's. Her money would have been on the other way around.

The smell of coffee penetrated her muddled thoughts and she followed her nose to the coffeemaker. Hopefully Mom had made the coffee. Natasha made coffee that could get up and crawl away on its own. Exactly what was needed in the god awful early mornings.

Anya grumbled something that could have been a good morning as she went for two coffee mugs and the coffeepot.

Eliza lifts her chin off the counter to peer at the mugs Anya had. Coffee. Her still fuzzy brain demanded it. She allowed the sun glasses to slide down and she smiled like a cat about to get cream.

"Thanks. Um. Anya." She peers at her count Earth half-sister. "You know what's weird for me? My Mom said Anya was on the list. Of names she and my Dad bounced back and fourth."

She shrugs and sits up fully. "Well aside from everything else."

She finds the fact they look so much alike makes them being sisters a little less weird.

Anya blinked and looked down at the mugs of coffee in her hands. These were hers, but she carefully slid one across the counter to her sister. She turned around and fetched another mug out of the cabinet.

"Guess the Black Widows are similar no matter what reality it is," she finally said. She filled the second mug and wondered if there was any blini in the fridge from yesterday's breakfast.

"Let me take a wild guess. You don't sleep much either."

"Not normally. I tried last night but this house is strange," she admits while starting to sip at the coffee. "I guess they are. Mom is...much the same. But there are enough differences."

She wanted to curl around her mug like a cat but didn't since it would be silly. "I'm kinda surprised she married your Dad. I can't see mine ever really settling down even if she was always around my Dad and I."

"Genetics," Anya muttered over the rim of one cup. "Though James sleeps for the rest of us. I can't see how he can sleep eight hours a day."

Anya shrugged. "We were all surprised, to be honest. Mom had been home for only a short while when they got back together and after a few months they were getting married. It's only been...." She had to stop and think. "Four months since they got married."

"Maybe it's a guy thing?" She shrugs but there's a small amused smile on her face now.

"Cool." She didn't want to think about her Mom being gone for longer than she had when things came up. Which was usually not more than a week until she was twelve. It might be why she hero worshiped her Dad.

"Ah. They're not past the honeymoon phase then unless they think it was years ago." She smiles a little. "But I'm happy for them. Mom deserves to be happy in any world. I never knew your Dad that well but he's in the same book."

Anya shrugged. "Dunno." She gulped down more coffee. "They are still in the honeymoon phase. They spent a good number of years not talking to each other, so this is them making up for all of it. Or something. I don't want to think about them like that." Anya shuddered.

"They're idiots an they'll hurt each other, but they are happy now. I guess that's what matters."

	She blinks then makes a face. "Ok. Now I'm going to have to pretend to be actually seventeen. Because I was hoping they'd be past that so I could maturely be fine." "All I can say is to make noise when you're coming in the front door. It's safer that way." There had been one too many accidents and more of her sanity slipped away each time.

Anya looked at her sister. They did look a lot alike and favored their mother. "I have to ask. Have your parents been together your whole life, or did you grow up in two different houses too?"

	The front door opened and closed, and there was jingling as a set of keys were tossed and caught. Footsteps made their way to the kitchen. Misha pushed open the kitchen door and saw a redhead. 	She didn't worry about correcting Anya about that not being her name. It didn't really matter since she answered to Eliza and it was too early to argue. She lets her sun glasses slide then pushes them back up. "Holy cow. I go from being an only child to having enough siblings to start an Avengers team." She's really tickled by the idea. "Don't say something like that," Anya warned. "We will have another dimensionally challenged kid show up and this one would be the kid of Hercules or Hawkeye. They're the only two left who Mom has dated who hasn't shown up yet."

She thought about the four of them. One kid with Captain America. One with Iron Man. One with Wolverine and now one with Matt Murdock. They really could form their own team.

	Eliza shakes her head. "Just thinking about that gives me a headache and I'm still new to this...idea." She pulls the sun glasses off giving up on them for the moment and rubs one eye sleepily. "Hi. Eliza Romanova," she offers that since last night she had been pretty much out of it. She grasps his hand and gives it a shake.

"Yeah. It's good to see someone I know. Sort of. This other dimension thing is going to be a headache." She knew she had no siblings on her Earth so this was just weird. But it was cool to have a sister she could share stories with and an older and younger brother.

	His smile is charming enough, but it's not quite in his eyes. He worked hard to make sure Anya had options. 	"Yeah. It wasn't a normal situation for us," she admits. She's still very worried about the team. She's just not comfortable talking about it.
