Two days in New York City
Jenny was happy to conveniently forgot her scheduled appointment with Dr. Samson, but leave it to Rob to have it on his calendar. The day before, she was notified that she would be collected at 6am and delivered to the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport for the New York run.

She tossed a few items into her shoulder bag along with a new book. She didn't need anymore than that as Rob had kept their leased apartment in New York. Between his monthly trips back to New York and her infrequent traveling, he said it was worth hanging onto it. Everything she might need was already there.

A note was posted on the refrigerator so the team would know she would be in the States for a couple of days. She also included a post script asking Leech to make sure Yankee Clipper was fed. She really hoped Quinn would continue to be tolerant and not turn YC into a fluffy orange and white throw pillow.

In New York, she had time to shower and change clothes before presenting herself at Dr. Samson's office promptly at 3pm. Each time she had one of these appointments she hoped it would be the last. Each time he said he would see her again in three months. At least this time she would have something different to contribute to the conversation.

	Jenny nearly purred. Until this moment she didn't realize she loved to have her hair stroked. It sent tingles down her spine. "You turned out pretty good, Mr. Walters. "That's the big question, isn't it?" Andy asks, laying back to think about the answer. Now he traces the curve of Jenny's spine, nothing the reaction of the hair stroking.

"I've got my bachelor's in criminal justice, and I'm considering law school. I've got a lead on a position out in California, but there could be issues if I end up helping the Defenders full-time. I'm not sure how that will work out." he says.

Between his parents separate fortunes, Andy technically never had to work a day in his life if he didn't want to, but he wanted something to call his own someday.

"However, I could stand to get waylaid by a particular stranger a little more often from this point on, if she's amenable to such things. Besides, I need to watch every movie in your collection at some point, so I think we'll see a bit more of each other." he smiles.

"I want a bookstore of my own. Some little hole in the wall with comfortable worn velvet sofas for lounging and reading. Arm chairs in odd corners. A fire on the hearth with seating grouped around it and my cat ruling the store with an iron paw. That's my goal."

Her voice took on a dreamy tone. "I'm in the middle of a degree in English literature. I took the semester off because something was missing from my life and I had to find it before I went forward. Then I met Excalibur and things began to fall into place. Now there's you and more pieces are fitting in."

"Bookstores are great places to just...be. Is yours going to serve coffee or have all that high-priced Starbucks crap?" he asks.

"Have you ever seen Notting Hill? That's the kind of bookstore that I'd love to go to." he says.

He listens to her talk a bit more, and finds himself agreeing in some ways.

"I used to fill up my life with things to do so I didn't have to think about Titan, or all the things I wanted but didn't think I could have. I've...let you in more in the last twenty-four hours than I've let anyone else in in my life.

You're just easy to talk to, Jenny. I feel comfortable enough to talk about me with you, and not sugarcoat things." he tells her.

"Not bad, I didn't say bad." She tapped her fingertips on his chest. "From a brain that's been tortured by one too many romance novels. I'm thinking about a shower." Because lots of soft soap and his hands on her wet skin sounded like a great idea to her. Agreeing to a couple more days was like a blanket permission to ask any question, and request things she only read about in books.

Oh...he was just about perfect.

"I love to dance," she said, "I don't get many chances. It has to be slow dancing, because...you know..." Crashing, property damage, an injured partner, she'd tried and failed trying to fit in.

"No reason not to dance now and later." She kissed him once more before getting up to open another set of cabinet doors. She took a CD out and replaced the Casablanca disk. In a few seconds, Ella Fitzgerald's This Time the Dream's on Me oozed out of the speakers.

She held a hand out to him. "May I have this dance, Mr. Walters?"

He thought she might think him weird for his request, but when she puts on the music and consents to dancing with him, Andy is pretty certain that he's going to have to tell Mom about this girl.

"You certainly can, Miss Woolverton." Andy says, taking her hand and drawing her toward him. She will learn quickly that he knows what he's doing.

One doesn't have Goddess of Love, Knowledge and Music as family and not learn how to dance.

	Jenny thought Andy moved wonderfully for someone who claimed to be uncoordinated for soccer. She loved to dance, but her physical training only covered gymnastics and combat training. Dancing with Andy was as smooth as cheesecake and just as much a treat. "Did your mother teach you to dance?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Not really. I mean, she let me stand on her feet and hold her hands when I was little, but the real teaching came from my aunts, especially Terpsichore. I don't think I ever danced as much as I did that one summer." he says, thinking back to the memory.

Few of the Gods and Goddesses showed him favor, and those that did usually did so out of respect for his father or Argo.

"This is as great as I thought it would be, Jenny. Thank you for indulging me." he says, dipping her suddenly.

The signs of her surprise at being dipped were an indrawn breath and holding on a little tighter. He made her feel delicate. That didn't happen often. For the first time she seriously considered how hard she could fall for him with a little time, conversation, and play.

She gazed up at him. "I'm loving this too. We...ah...could indulge each other and combine slow dancing with a shower."
