The hike was uneventful. She led the team around the small village and to within a half mile of the closed base. She motioned for Walker to take the lead, pointing the direction they needed to take. She moved to the center with Tech, and gestured to Aleks to back Walker up. She didn't need to make eye contact with Alice; they'd grown up playing this game.
