Jack chewed his lip, fidgeting as he stared at the front gate again. Finally, he hit the button. "Hi... I'm looking for, uh.. Swashbuckler? I was wondering if he wanted to go out for ice cream."

Steve soon appeared at the gates and perked up as he recognized who it was.

"Oh, hey, man. Good to see you again."

"I was... umm... I was wondering if, if you're not busy I mean, if you wanted to come with me to get ice cream. You said I should try thinking about more than just the crimefighting stuff, and.. well.. ice cream is normal, right?"

Steve resisted the urge to laugh.

"Yeah, dude," he said. "Ice cream is normal." He unlocked the gate and stepped outside.

As they got to the ice cream place, Steve frowned. "...Dude. You need serious help. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars. And we are going to do that."

Steve shook his head. "He's a psychiatrist," he explained. "A doctor who studies the mind. He'll be able to figure out how they messed with your mind, and how to undo it."

Hm. Jack was expecting more smells. There's something freshly baked though. Waffles maybe?

He goes up and begins peering into the case. Fascinating stuff.

Jack orders himself a single scoop of some kind of chocolate, a scoop of some green ice cream with chocolate in it, and a waffle cone of soft vanilla.

Before finalizing the order, he looks back to Steve just to make sure. "Is that okay? I wanted to get a few small things instead of one big thing."

Steve himself gets a hot fudge sundae made with chocolate ice cream. After he pays for their order, he leads Jack over to a booth.

"So, do you at least have some place where you stay, Jack? You're not just... swinging around everywhere?"

Jack examines the contents of his order carefully, before tentatively starting on the cone first.

"I've got someone I stay with. They're... kind of a crimefighter too. I think it's more of a 'when they can' type thing for them though."

The cone being small, he gets down to the cone quickly, taking a bite and clearly approving. "Hm. Waffle... with ice cream. Excellent."

Little things like where he lives are pushed to the side as Jack is focusing in on figuring out which flavor of ice cream he likes best.

Steve turned his own focus back to his ice cream. Chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream were a good combination in his book.
