Tech's brain feels like oatmeal after the knockout gas. He also feels rather lame at being in a new cell. It was a good thing Fury was not here to see this, because she might consider him useless and have him booted out of SHIELD altogether.

The grogginess distracts him from any immediate danger in the room.
