"Sure. I could use someone manning the toaster and making toast," Syd said.
Grace entered the kitchen and there was some small feeling of guilt when Syd saw her. Grace made her think of Simon. You have no reason to be guilty. He wanted a break. She had to remind herself.
Then came the bark.
"Grace?"
Syd glanced over when Andy came in and noticed Marlow go from bouncy to frowning. Now what? What happened?
