One of the shots hits Ben's backpack, and is stopped from going into his back only by the binder he forgot to take out. The force, however, is enough to throw him off balance to the ground. He drops the camera, which goes skittering down the sidewalk and he falls to the ground.
He groans in pain and realizes that these guys will be on him soon if he just lies there.
He manages to pull himself up and fall into a nearby alley to hide behind a dumpster.
