Sammy didn't believe for a second that he would destroy his grandmother's memories, or that Mrs. Landon would allow it to happen.
"I'll do that," she promised. "You better go on and assure her you're fine and your injuries are healing. She'll take it better if you don't have an audience to helpfully say it doesn't look as bad as it did."
