"Admittedly, our website only shows our company manners," Sammy said with frank honesty. Mrs. Landon obviously knew more than Tech gave her credit for. They were protecting each other. It was admirable. She had to be careful not to screw up any cover story he might have told his grandmother about his injuries.
And it was not the time to tell her than working with her team could very well get Tech killed. It was a choice Tech had made, and Sammy would not gainsay him. Yet.
"Ultimately, the decision to provide an early release for Jacob will rest on the government," Sammy said carefully. "All of Jason's work will only go so far. The rest is on Jacob."
