"I don't have the talent for it," she said absently, still tapping in her ideas. "Alice is a very dear person and she likes men. Nothing wrong with that. If she decides to settle down, that guy will be very lucky and I'll shoot him if he ever makes her unhappy."
She glanced up. "I'd fuss, but the fact is that I have a hard time keeping the weight on. My ability uses up calories faster than I can eat them. It's not unusual to come off a mission ten pounds lighter depending on how often I have to stop time. My quarters are usually filled with snack foods as well as coffee."
