She took his arm, clutching it to her in an adoring manner, and smiled a goodbye around the restaurant on their way out.
"If I was a churchgoing young lady, I'd have to spend all next week in confession," she said, laughing. "As it is, I'll only have to explain any rumors of improper behavior to your grandmother."
