She wasn't going to tell him it was okay or coddle him. She didn't think he'd appreciate it, and it would dilute everything they'd managed to do already. It wasn't okay, but they survived.
She would give him the truth as she saw it. "I think we did pretty good otherwise. We have a plan for the rest and new toys for the team."
