He returns to his room for his handgun, gets it and then heads to the porch. He knows he won't find Legion outside, since the droid is down in the basement for a "rest" period.
When he sees her on the porch, he walks up and wraps his arms around her waist for a change, giving her a small hug before letting go.
"Well, if you come by after-hours, I'll do my best to keep you from gettin' bored." he grins, then goes to the car.
