His hand is injured and bleeding, even if she's cut. He's also going straight for the thousand cuts approach, damn him. She snags a shard of glass, fighting with it in one hand, the knife in the other, feinting and lunging, pretending she's looking for an opening like one would expect.
She's not - she's waiting for his attack, intending to almost dive into it. Yes, she'll take a worse wound, but it should also let her close quarters and attack with both blades, just trying to give as good as she gets, and try and take single big wounds instead of lots of smaller ones.
