She almost interrupts him in the very first sentence that it's 'We,' not 'I'. But she manages to refrain, and hear him out, carefully committing everything he says to memory past a sea of reactions against the very concept of his going home without her.
He was going to be dealing with all this without her -- in a potential war zone -- for as long as it took a bunch of humans, even 'nice ones,' to talk to her?
But if Andrew thought something was necessary, she wasn't going to tell him no. Stupid trusting each other implicitly.
She just frowned for a few moments. Then, after a deep breath. "I understand, Andrew." A pause, and then, meeting his eyes intently, the green light already starting to flicker over the blue in agitation, she growls. "You had better not get hurt. When you get home, stay near my mother or something as much as you can, okay?"
