Julian absorbs her words as if she'd just informed him that a bit of her stock had just gone up on the Dow, which is to nod simply. He wasn't aware that Giovanna had a brother, but something about the way she said Andrew was speaking with her mother caught his attention.

Andrew had no need to speak to Giovanna's mother if Exodus was present to speak. Andrew had no reason to speak to Exodus unless Father was somehow Not Available. If Magneto was Not Available, Exodus would do the speaking to Andrew /in person/.

And there were few, if any, good reasons that Magneto would be Not Available, just from what he knew of the man.

So, Andrew was home on Genosha because he was needed and Magneto has somehow been incapacitated. However, Julian's mind connected on a far more frightening possibility: /nothing/ would happen to Father unless it happened to Paris first...which would necessitate Giovanna's mother to do the talking.

Julian wanted to think that this even was unrelated to the current disruptions Doom was undertaking, but the timing was too close. Julian says nothing while he puts this together, but speaks once his mind is clear.

"How can I help and who are you waiting to speak to?" he asks.
