The New Iron Man and War Machine
Tommy Stackhouse and Johnny Crane had scored big the night they broke into that one warehouse. The place had been filled with robots, but they didn't manage to get any of those. They did get suits of armor similar to Iron Man and War Machine. How freaking cool was that? They were going to be the next Iron Man and War Machine.

It took some time to learn how to use the suits, but eventually they figured out how to pilot the suits. Then they had to learn how to fly. Which looked a lot easier than it actually was. After getting the hang of flying, then came to learn how to use the weapon systems. They were completely awesome.

Now it was time to go be superheroes.

They put on the suits and went out into the city.

Anya had worked with Justin on a few modifications to her suit and needed to test them out before going into combat. Testing was a good thing. Experience had been a good teacher.

Anya turned on the speed. "Try to keep up," she sent back to Justin.

"Goddard, increase the sensitivity in the sensors to max. I want to see what these upgrades are capable of."

"Of course, but would a please be too much to ask?"

Never write an AI with an attitude.

"What do we have here?" Anya asked as she saw two new energy signatures on the heads up display.

Justin laughs. "I'll try not to fly too quickly for you, Stark."

Justin's also field-testing his new armor to make sure all the bugs are finally out. He could only run so many scenarios against Misha's stealth armor before he needed more data to compare.

"Tony, long-range sensor sweep. Let's see what kind of readings we get that aren't Anya's armor." he says.

"Oh, this ought to be fun...oh, dead ahead. We've got some friends in the area." Tony says.

"Friends? What kind of friends?" Justin asks, looking at the energy signatures.

"Hm...it's not zero-point, but it's somewhat efficient. Hey, Anya, who else did your dad give armor to besides us?" he asks.

	"Goddard /please/ analyze the energy signatures and compare to all known in the database," Anya instructed. "Let's go take a closer look," she said to Justin and changed course. 	"Noted for reference." Justin says, changing course to follow Anya. He really hoped he wasn't going to have to shoot anyone down for being dumb this evening. "Goddard! I need that analysis! Now!" Anya yelled at the AI.

"The energy signatures suggest they may be Stark designs."

Stark designs. Oh this wasn't good at all. "War Machine, we need to take them out without destroying the suits. Do you have an EMP generator on board?"

Anya started charging up the EMP systems. Hopefully the suits' EM shielding hadn't been upgraded.

	Tommy barely avoided the repulsor blast. He kicked the thrusters into high. Johnny took off in the other direction at top speed. He didn't want to be caught. This suit was the coolest thing ever and wanted to keep it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I do, Iron Girl. Tony, time until EMP generator is ready?" War Machine asks.

"Eight seconds...seven seconds..." Tony counts down.

"Lock on target designation A, right-side hostile and wait for my mark." Justin says.

When Tommy kicked the thrusters to high, Justin cursed and increased his own speed.

"Tony, jam his communications and keep a lock on him. Iron Girl, I'm headed after him!" he says.

	Tommy kept flying. He tried to talk to Johnny, but the communications systems weren't working. He fired a few blasts back at his pursuer. Johnny's power systems flickered for a bit, but the suit's shielding kept the EMP from being effective. He sent a blast back at his pursuer. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Justin chased after Tommy, dodging the blasts and returning a couple to test this guy's shields. Justin didn't want to waste the EMP shot, and he wanted to know just how good this guy's suits were, because he was sure Mr. Stark was going to flip.

"Tony, jam his long-range sensors. I don't think he's as good at flying blind as the rest of us." Justin says.

"Jamming long-range scanners." Tony says.

"SHIT!" Anya yelled when the suit didn't shut down due to the EMP. "The shielding has been upgraded on this one," she told Justin.

There was one way left to disable the suit without destroying it. Anya got closer. "Goddard, start trying to pick up the suit's remote link. I've got to shut this thing down." Starks had learned to put kill switches in their toys just in case something like this happened.

	Justin waited until Tommy was spinning, then fired the EMP pulse to see if the shields were upgraded here. If they are, that bugs Justin, but he's not out of the fight yet. He streaks forward and attempts to grab the guy so that he doesn't try to fly off again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Anya got clipped by the repulsor blast and was knocked backward. "GODDARD!" she yelled. "You're suit is now connected," the AI said. "Thank you! Display the suit's programming code. Hopefully they did't change it much or find the kill switch." Anya fired a replusor blast as she searched the code. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Tommy's suit's power systems flickered a bit, but they stayed on. He sighed deeply with relief and tried to blast the guy chasing him out of the sky. Johnny took another hit and got knocked off to the left. He yelled and unleashed another round of repulsor blasts. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Justin thought that would happen, which made it easier to for him to determine what he'd do next.

One of the blasts hits him dead on, but he'd upgraded his suit's shielding. It knocked him off course a bit, but Justin righted himself and resumed giving chase.

This time, Justin aimed and fired a small projectile meant to latch onto the suit and begin corrupting its A.I. so that Justin could lock the current user out of the suit and take it over remotely.

It didn't take long to determine that the kill switch written into the suit's AI wasn't changed. Of course knowing where and what to look for didn't hurt either.

The blast hit her and she was knocked off course, but it didn't stop her from sending the kill command through the established link.

The other suit powered down and started falling from the sky. Anya went after it.

	Justin locks out the joint controls Tommy's suit, making it so that Tommy is basically trapped and unable to move or maneuver. "Iron Girl, where do we want to land these things so that we can talk to the people inside?" he asks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Anya called ahead to have Stark security standing by. They landed and the security forces stood by while Justin and Anya forced the suits to open. Once the suits were open the two guys were taken into custody and ushered inside. As soon as they were out of sight, Anya opened her suit and stepped out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"For now, though, she's a distant threat. We've got to get on the same page as your dad and figure out how these two jokers got suits." Justin says, pausing a moment and gently touching Anya's shoulder.

"You sure you're up for this? I know things haven't been great for you lately, so if you want to sit this out at all or work on Other Stuff, I can hold down the fort." Justin says, wondering about Anya's state of mind.
