Vincent's stomach twisted at getting the invite. He flicked it across the room, where it missed the wastebasket.

Almost half a day later, he resolved that he wasn't going to let his current upset disrupt his whole live.

He got out a focusing crystal and scryed for Asleif, sending out the magical equivalent of, not quite a distress signal, but a 'let's talk' at the very least.

Not nearly as sorry as I am.

"As am I; but thank you, Asleif. I have to admit, I nearly chose not to go at all in light of her beginning to date again.

Then I told myself that my discomforts are not so dire as to let my life cave in on itself because of them."

There is a small smile. "I hope you do not judge me too harshly in that I ask you out of not being quite up to going on my own yet."

It's entirely possible Andrea won't even show up with whoever it is she's going to the game with, but this is practically an act of self-preservation at this point.

"I'll need to get you something formal to wear. Asgardian finery is lovely, but I think something a bit lighter than heavy furs and robes would be called for." A pause.
