She's lucky he let go of the shield, and she had it in front of her. Even so, it comes fast enough that the energy reflects off the edge of the shield and grazes her shoulder.
Ow!
He's stronger than she is - his grip on the shield confirmed that. He's also faster, much to her surprise. She's not sure how much of either.
No time for much more analysis. She comes right back at him, feinting with the hammer, since it seems to have his attention,and trying to drive the shield into his neck.
