I was minding my own business when....
The shoot for his latest movie, The J-Team, brought him back to Boston for the next two weeks and Austin Caine found himself excited at the prospect. He'd get to hang out with Anya again, if her schedule allowed, and they could go out for burgers again or just hang out and talk cars or motorcycles. She was a fun girl to be around and Austin liked when she'd call him up to chat or ask about things like going to the Stark Charity Ball.

Maybe he'd take the time out to get fitted for a new tuxedo today after filming wrapped.

Right now, he was on set working with Christian Bale, who played the leader of the J-Team, Julian Jameson. Austin played Jarrod Jennings, the technical support guy of the group.

"The good news is that I can have the zero-watt generator built in two days, J. The bad news is that it'll have to be stationary unless I can call a friend of mine to help with the work. She's tough to track down, but she's worth every penny in the brains department." Jarrod says, and Austin smiles inwardly at sneaking a shout out to Anya into the movie.

"Make the call, J." Julian says.

Less than thirty feet away, a catering truck explodes and everyone is thrown to the ground, knocked senseless from the blast.

Austin is pretty sure /that/ isn't part of the script.

"Are you sure you wanna do this, Anya? We don't have to if you don't want to." Austin says, looking at the screen and trying not to cringe just a little.

Now is probably not the time to inform Anya that he's rarely able to sit through one of his own movies. Not that he's never tried; he remembers all of his lines from every movie he's ever done and what he was thinking at the time of shooting each scene. Sarah used to get so annoyed with him when they'd go to premieres.

	Anya leaned into Austin. "This is my Mom's favorite movie," she said. "When I was growing up, her, my brother and me would watch old classic movies when she was home. She'd let us stay up as late as we wanted and would just keep putting old movies on." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"That's pretty cool. It was kinda the same at my house, except Mom and Carl would do it for their date nights. My brother and I would sneak down the hall and try to watch as quietly as we could, but they'd always catch us.

So they started lettin' us hang out until we fell asleep. But I saw a lot of good old movies. I wanted to be an actor back then, but I never thought I'd get into it." he says.

"Too many other responsibilities and things to live up to, you know?"

	Somewhere between all the action, the admissions and Anya's comforting presence, Austin feels his energy level begin to falter. This whole thing is insane, yet she just deals with all of it. She's amazing. he thinks to himself. It's the last thought he has before his eyes close and he drifts off to sleep. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
