Eli teleported away from the blast, using his telepathy to gauge her location in relation to him.

He hated to do this to anyone, but if she would not listen to reason, then he had to act swiftly. He reached out with his telekinesis to "touch" her gently.

Then he would teleport the woman into the darkness /with/ him.
