Eli is weakened from the previous fight as well. Like Iason, he needs time and energy to heal, but they can't risk doing so right now. So Eli is left to his thoughts, which is the last place he wants to be right now.
Druig's words ring over and over in his head, and Eli /knows/ that his father wasn't here, but he heard him as easily as he can hear the others around him.
The pain of having his own abilities turned against him is not something he'll forget anytime soon.
So Eli sits and broods while he tries to think of his next move.
