"Thank you, Avery," she said as she accepted the glass of champagne.
"Zoey has school on Monday," she said. "But we can leave anytime tomorrow we want, so there's time for ice skating. Hopefully she won't break her arm this year."
Syd tried not to think about last year. She didn't want to be thinking of Simon.
