If they hadn't met tonight Daniel might have done this on his own. He feels slightly more secure here. But seeing the look on Akilah's face is all he needs to for him to realize this was not going well. Not for her at least he didn't feel like his guts were about to drop out of his chest.
His focus was no longer solely on T'Challa, but on his girlfriend to make sure she is alright. His glasses slip to the tip of his nose as he watches her.
He looks back to T'Challa after being sure Akilah is alright. "I understand sir. We haven't been dating for that long." He shifts and nods again. "And you're right. You don't know me at all. Is there anything I can tell you to say anything substantial about my character?"
Oh, well of course she'll have to go back to Wakanda. It's her home. He isn't going to complain about that. "How long will you need to be there?"
He flushes slightly because he's going to have to mentin this at least. "My father wanted to invite you on a trip. We were going to go visit a colony of dryads he's friends with. They need assistance once a year tending to the forest they protect."
