There's a round of curses as Chris is struck. It does however send her clear of the pit, even if she's back where she started now. She hisses and shifts down to her midpoint of transformation. Her body really doesn't want her doing all this, but she ignores it.
Digging her claws in, she runs along the wall to avoid the previous traps, she leaps through the air, before shifting in size again to change her velocity mid-jump.
