A Job Well Done
It had been a long two weeks in New York, but in the end they had managed to get quite a few recruits for the new shows. Now that they were just about done here in New York, they'd be heading off to Los Angeles. There were always people looking to be the next big star in that town and recruiting should be easier.

The screening process was slow because the boss didn't want just anyone in the shows. He wanted people that would deliver action and most importantly ratings. Not your everyday ordinary Joe Schmoo off the street would do. The boss wanted people with charisma, or ones who could provide a lot of action. Mutants were great for the latter and they couldn't just come out and ask people if they were mutants. There was a battery of very specific questions and then a small "screen test" to see what they could do.

So far the boss had been pleased with the ones that had been found and sent back.

They had two more days here in New York and then it was off to Hollywood where the pickings would be better and easier. Sweepzweak couldn't wait to get to Hollywood where sun and beautiful women awaited.

This one is definitely causing them trouble, and making it tough for them to get any kind of coordination going. On the other hand, he understands this place a little better now - and tries going for the simplest tactic available in the native tongue.

He points towards Spiral even as he's fighting for balance, unable to approach her. "Your agent called, you're getting a negative media share. She's taking your part and you've been cancelled."

	Static just looked at the guy. She knew he was lying. She wasn't canceled. Canceled meant she would be around to take care of these people. She titled her head as a tentacle of water formed and whipped toward him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ow. Ow, ow, ow. He's not a horrible fighter, but he's not in most superhumans' weight class either. Well, except in the astral plane, which this isn't. The tendril catches him under the chin and sends him flying and crashing into a wall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Lucas takes a deep breath and lets the Earth encase him. Either his teammates will rescue him or they won't, and nothing he can do about it. He lets his Astral form slip from his body, and goes in search of any non-hostile minds with psychic or magical abilities. There has to be someone friendly around here, right? 	Static turned her attention on someone else now that one of them was encased in earth. Water tentacles formed with the moisture in the air started heading toward the X-ers. (Reply to this)(Parent)
