Grugulus wasn't particularly bright, but he wasn't completely stupid. He knew what he had to do and where to go. The Avengers didn't have to try to get him moving out of the city. Grugulus knew he was at a point where he had to go to the right location.

He swiped at his eye and started walking to the right location.
