Meeting of the Minds
Griffen had decided he was going to start ordering parts for new computer upgrades. It wasn't his thing but it had to be done. That was when he had noticed someone was already doing his job for him. That was a little surprise.

He smiled a little as he picked up one of the boxes to check out what was being installed. He gave a low whistle of geek approval as he wandered into the computer room. He looked up and had a moment of surprise.

"Miss Stark?" He blinks again then offers her a smile. "It's good to see you again. Is there anything I can do to help you?"

He doesn't seem as shy as he once was but then again the first time they met was in the middle of a crisis and the next time they were around each other was when the Defenders got called in. Griffen notes that they never really got to talk before.

"Need to keep the ties between the teams strong," she told Halbjorn. "We should schedule mandatory fun with the two team once and awhile." After what she heard about Disneyland, it was probably for the best that the Defenders did stuff with the Avengers. More powered people to keep an eye on them.

She turned to Griffen. "Not new computers. Just pieces." She wanted to keep the costs down given the current status with the funding.

"Of course, twouldst be entertaining indeed to schedule more fun like our last meeting." More?

"Well of course we'll always help each other if we need back up," Griffen says with confidence. He pauses then flounders with his latest thought. He doesn't know how to fight, he can use his shields just fine but fighting is a little past his skill set.

"Halbjorn? I don't know how to fight," Griffen finally comes out with it. While Halbjorn annoys him he's not sure Ohu would teach him anything.

Anya finished off the rest of her food. "That was really good, Griffen." She placed her fork on her plate. "I don't think you are lacking instructors. From what I've seen of your teammates, they are all excellent fighters. One if not more of them should be willing to teach you."

Quite frankly, Halbjorn is aghast. A male, presumably raised as one, who knows how to neither wench nor fight? This is entirely unacceptable.

"Whate'er thy shortcomings, thou'rt my teammate. I shalt see to correcting this terrible wrong myself. I hath promised Anya a goodly amount of mine time whilst she ist here, and thou apparently hast business to conduct with the computers... so the day after she takes her leave of us, we shalt begin thy training. Meet me in the training gym one hour before sunrise and we shalt begin to teach thee a warrior's way."

His childhood might get picked at latter. But to an Asguardian he is lacking in many areas.

"Of course, Halbjorn. Thank you for the training that is yet to come." He will latter wonder what the hell he was thinking. That's four a.m.

He blinks then smiles at Anya. "You're welcome. I like being able to cook for people."

Anya was glad it was Griffen who would be training with the Asgardians and not her. It was bad enough she had to do training with the Black Widow.

"I just need to load up the stuff from the lab, then we can see to that sparring. I flew out here via suit."

"Thou'rt most welcome, mine friend. Tis a pleasure to be able to aid thee and correct this great wrong. Make sure on the chosen day, and mornings thereafter, thou hast five hours free for training before breakfast." he adds, looking back to Anya. "Wonderful. Dost thou require help with the loading?"

Griffen hopes that maybe somewhere in the back of his mind he can pretend to be too tired from training to be interested in learning about women. Of course he might not need to act tired if the insanity of Halbjorn's daily training is the norm, he's sure that will easily have him very tired.

Should Griffen later want to research, there's plenty of video tape of Halbjorn's daily workout. When he's not out too late wenching, which appears to be a reasonable excuse to sleep in a couple hours, its up every day before sunrise, followed by four to five hours of running, jumping, climbing, obstacles, punching bags, weapons dummies, and getting hit with sticks and training weapons to build up. Breakfast, an hour of light weapons training, tactical studies or archery, then four more hours of more direct sparring and combat training, sometimes with Svalin, sometimes alone. Occasionally he spends more time at it when bored in the afternoons.

The joys of being a berserker, all anyone expects you to do is be able to fight and survive, so daily life is pretty much centered around those two things.

Of course, that's if he should choose to research later. Otherwise he might just be in for a surprise whenever Anya leaves.

"I can always use an extra pair of hands," she said. "My father and Dr. Pym left a lot of stuff in the lab."

"I'll do what I can," Griffen offers. He's sure he can help with some of the work.
